|SH Jewellery Newsletter | March 2018
Hello one and all. I hope you all survived the ‘Beast from the East’ last week. Our apologies go out to anyone who wanted to come in and see us, but we had to close early on Wednesday, and didn’t reopen again until Saturday! This is the first time that we have had to close, for whole days, in almost 7 years! Back to business this week…and what a start to the week it has been!
We have just had it confirmed this morning that we are a finalist in the 2018 Scottish Independent Retail Awards! Thank you so much to all of you who took the time to vote for us this year! After winning last year there is a little bit of an increased pressure this year, but really we are delighted to just be shortlisted again. The awards ceremony is in Glasgow on the 17th April. Watch our social media pages (SH Jewellery on Facebook, shjewelleryedinburgh on instagram) for updates on this and everything else that is going on here day to day.
I am also taking part in an instagram challenge - #marchmeetthemaker, which has a daily title to post about, I am enjoying this type of posting and gives me a chance to share information about the business and being a maker that I wouldn’t usually share.
We have had an amazing 13 new pieces in from Disa Allsop; stunning, big stone, statement rings and bold necklaces. Each ring has such a different feel with the variety of stones she uses
I have a selection of new Manu piece due in, a top up of fresh pieces from Claudia Milic and new work from Bytomski too! Brand new designer to SH; Ami Pepper, is also due in in the Spring – one I can’t wait to see personally as her rings are high on my wish list! I even made a few little new delicate necklaces myself – I must try and find more time to get back at the bench in the coming months.
Finally, remember that the Spring Sheilmoir Designs Pop Up Shop dates are next month, 12 – 14th April.
Thanks & Best Wishes
Hope to see you in Morningside soon,
Sarah & Ruby x
