|SH Jewellery Newsletter | May 2018
Thank you to all of those who sent their well wishes and congratulations for our 7th Birthday last weekend, or who popped in to see us. The excitement over winning the Jewellery Store of the Year in the Retail Independent Business Awards for a second year running is still hanging in the air too, but it is business and usual with lots to report.
Jennifer Dugan was the lucky winner of our Facebook and Instagram challenge and WON our £150 voucher, she spent it on a lovely Frances Stunt necklace. Alexa Hill was our runner up, winning £50 to be spent on store, with this amazing image she took of a Louise Mary Designs piece. Thank you again to those of you who got behind this competition, there will be another chance to win next year for our 8th Birthday which will come around before we know it I am sure!
I have had a full refreshed collection in from Leigh Fotheringham, who has been showing with me here in Edinburgh for over 3 years now. If you love one of Leigh’s rings and they fit, it is a real Cinderella’s slipper moment as they are predominantly one off designs.
An SH Jewellery favourite, Suzanne Claire, who has been showing with us since our second year of opening, has introduced some new pieces to compliment the lovely, ever popular crochet collection. The new woven collection is also inspired by textile techniques, but there are also some gorgeous crochet style pieces in the window which have a lovely tactile feeling and weight too.
I have had a fresh addition of designs in from Polish designer Bytomska. Lots of quirky wave style rings and earrings.
Some of you may have seen Kelly Munro in the shop recently when I have had the odd day off. It has been great to have Kelly in helping out as she has also delivered a lovely fresh collection of her beautiful work. Pieces from £35, combining hand painted wood with silver sections.
As most of you will be aware there are new laws coming into place to do with data protection and privacy. Everyone on this mailing list should have chosen to opt in to this mailing list at some point over the last 7 years. I am working on a new website, and with this I am going to change over to a ‘Mailchimp’ newsletter account which will ensure everyone’s email address is stored securely, and this will also give you the option to unsubscribe every month. If any of you want to opt out now feel free to drop me an email. So as I try to get my head around all this technology there may well be a delay until my next newsletter – but you can keep up to date on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
Otherwise, I hope you are well and hope to see you in Morningside soon.
